Brake lines are safety parts for the manufacturing of automobiles. For this application it is essential, in order to avoid possible failure, that the material has the following features:
- good corrosion resistance,
- high ductility at low temperatures,
- good fatique strength,
- high creep strength.
One particular feature is the preservation of mechanical characteristics under the effects of corrosion. This means that the material should not have any tendency towards corrosion fatigue. In this case, copper alloys work much better than steel.
Wieland-K65 meets these requirements extremely well. It has been proven that alloy tubes made of this material are excellent for use in cars and trucks. It can be successfully used in hydraulic as well as in pneumatic systems.
