In recent years, radio frequency identification technology, referred to as RFID, has taken over many aspects of daily life. For large active transponders, copper is typically used as antenna in thicknesses from 18 to 80 µm. For this purpose, rolled strip, e.g. in B16 or K55, can be used at low cost. Depending on the application concerned, other materials are suitable as well.
