Information about the Alloy Wizard and the processing of your data

Using the Alloy Wizard, you can select our Wieland portfolio on the basis of the values entered, such as strength, bendability and other physical properties, and compare your results online.

You also have the option of requesting a standard data sheet and/or a dynamic data sheet. In the dynamic data sheet the results of the individual online search are summarized and displayed. Personal data is not included here, only a comparison of products.

Data export: In order to export the selected data sheets by e-mail, it is necessary to enter the contact data marked with *. Further information is voluntary. This gives you the opportunity to choose whether and by which department you would like to be contacted and whether we may send you information from the Wieland Group about products and services by e-mail with your consent. This information is of course voluntary and can be revoked at any time in the future. The information you provide will be made available to our technical marketing department and the responsible account manager and stored in our own secure database. This makes it easier for our experts to answer technical questions.

1. Data processing for enquiries

If you send us inquiries via the AlloyWizard form next to the request for the data sheet, your data from the form including the contact details you entered there will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. These data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent. Data processing for the purpose of establishing contact with us and answering your queries is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) 1st sentence point a) GDPR on the basis of your voluntary consent. The personal data collected by us for the use of the contact and enquiry forms will be deleted after your enquiry has been processed. This is the case if it can be inferred from the circumstances that the facts in question have been conclusively clarified and provided that there are no legal obligations to retain them.

For subscription to our newsletter and further information

If you have expressly consented in accordance with Art. 6 (1) 1st sentence point a) GDPR, we will use your e-mail address to send you our newsletter or to send you a specific white paper or information on events of the Wieland Group. To receive the newsletter, it is sufficient to provide an e-mail address and your consent via the checkbox in the contact form. We also use this for the confirmation e-mail in the double opt-in procedure to check whether the owner of the e-mail address has authorised receipt of the newsletter.

You can unsubscribe at any time, for example via a link at the end of each newsletter or message from us. Alternatively, you can also send your unsubscribe request at any time to by e-mail. A passing on of the conveyed data takes place only to our technical service providers and partner enterprises, provided that we use these for the technical completion of the newsletter and/or Whitepaper dispatch. After cancellation of the newsletter, the e-mail address will be deleted both from our servers and from the servers of the service provider.

When visiting our website

Information according to Art. 13 GDPR

The processing of the personal data collected in the registration process for the Alloy Wizard document export takes place on the basis of the consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) 1st sentence point a) GDPR or for the purposes of initiating business or implementing pre-contractual measures pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) DS-GVO. We store log files and comparable allocation data for backup purposes of our web services on the basis of our legitimate interests within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) 1st sentence point f) GDPR.

After the discontinuation of the purpose or revocation of the consent, these will be deleted immediately, unless there is a legal obligation to fulfil a legal storage obligation.

The log data will be stored pseudonymised for ten years due to legal retention periods for documentation purposes. The data will not be used for any other purpose. Data transmission via the registration form and when using the Alloy Wizard is secured by suitable current encryption technologies.
