K65® Industrial Tubes for High-pressure Applications

Wieland K65 tubes have been designed for CO2 applications in the commercial field, especially that of supermarket refrigeration systems. Wieland K65 alloy provides the mechanical strength high enough to withstand the high operating pressures of CO2. At the same time, K65 tubes have outstanding processing properties, similar to those of standard copper (Cu-DHP/C12200).

High-strength tubes for CO₂ heat exchangers

The high operating pressures of CO₂ refrigeration systems place demanding mechanical requirements on heat exchanger tubes. Wieland K65 provides significantly higher strength than standard Cu-DHP copper while retaining practical forming and processing properties.

The higher material strength allows reduced wall thicknesses, helping lower material input and tube weight. K65 tubes can be joined by brazing and supplied in delivery forms suitable for industrial heat exchanger production.

Product Variants

Smooth K65 industrial tubes are designed for manufacturing refrigeration components and heat exchangers requiring increased pressure resistance.

The high-strength K65 alloy enables weight-optimized tube designs while maintaining good processing characteristics. Dimensions, wall thicknesses and delivery forms can be adapted to the requirements of the heat exchanger and manufacturing process.

Your Benefits

  • Pressure resistance tailored to the application

  • Reduced tube weight through optimized wall thicknesses

  • Good forming and processing properties

  • Reliable joining by brazing

  • Excellent heat transfer

  • Suitable for industrial series production

  • Individual dimensions and delivery forms available

Innergrooved K65 tubes combine the mechanical strength of the K65 alloy with an internal fin structure designed to improve heat transfer.

They are used in CO₂ heat exchangers such as evaporators and gas coolers and are available in individual dimensions as level-wound coils or straight lengths.

Your Benefits

  • Improved heat transfer through the internal tube structure

  • High pressure resistance for CO₂ applications

  • Compact heat exchanger construction

  • Reduced material input

  • Suitable for evaporation, gas cooling and other heat-transfer processes

  • Soft and hard tempers available

  • Flexible delivery forms for industrial processing
