Choosing the Right Nickel Silver Grade

Nickel silver (German silver) is a copper-nickel-zinc alloy family, the name refers to its silvery-white color, not silver content. Wieland’s rolled nickel silver range spans eight grades, from lower-nickel N12 (CuNi12Zn24) through higher-nickel, higher-strength N17 (CuNi18Zn27) and N18 (CuNi18Zn20), plus leaded variants N31, N32, N37, N39, N41 and N43 for improved machinability
