Wieland oil separators are used in refrigerant circuits where efficient oil separation is required to reduce oil flow in the discharge gas. Depending on the separator type and application, oil carry-over values of less than 1%, 500 ppm or even 10 ppm can be achieved.
The product range includes vertical and horizontal oil separators, solutions with in-built oil reservoir, direct oil return and coalescing cartridges. Depending on the model, the separators are suitable for flooded evaporator applications, mono and multicompressor refrigeration systems, Scroll, Reciprocating and screw compressor configurations.
The OSVM vertical oil separator is a high-efficiency oil separator with 3-step separation and an in-built oil reservoir. It eliminates the majority of the oil flow in the discharge gas, keeping the oil flow through the system very low. Oil carry-over coming out of the separator is less than 1%. Depending on the application, 500 ppm carry-over is achievable. After separation, the oil is stored in the reservoir, while heaters keep the reservoir refrigerant-free.
The OSHM horizontal oil separator is designed for direct oil return. It is a high-efficiency oil separator with 3-step separation and a small oil volume. This separator eliminates the majority of the oil flow in the discharge gas. Depending on the application, 500 ppm carry-over is achievable. It is suitable for Scroll and Reciprocating compressors as well as Compact screw compressors with integrated oil separator, especially for flooded evaporator applications.
The OSVF vertical oil separator is equipped with an easily replaceable coalescing cartridge. With this filter, liquid drops can be separated out of aerosols. This separator eliminates the majority of the oil flow in the discharge gas. Depending on the application, 10 ppm carry-over is achievable. It is suitable for Scroll or Reciprocating compressors and Compact screw compressors with integrated oil separator. In this case, the filter can be used as a second-step filtration with direct oil return, especially for flooded evaporator applications.
The OSVMF combined vertical oil separator combines a very high-efficiency coalescing oil separator with an integrated oil reservoir. In the coalescing filters, liquid drops can be separated out of aerosols. This separator eliminates the majority of the oil flow in the discharge gas. Depending on the application, 10 ppm carry-over is achievable. It is suitable for Scroll, Reciprocating compressors or screw compressors without oil separator and can be used for mono and multicompressor refrigeration systems.
