Copper Strips and Foils

Wieland copper strips and foils are precision-rolled semi-finished products used in connectors, metal goods, and semiconductor elements, from the smallest integrated circuits to power electronics components. The materials are engineered to the exact requirements of the customer properties such as conductivity, surface quality, softening resistance and strength, backed by a broad material range and application engineering advice.

Choosing the Right Copper Grade

Pure copper is the reference material for electrical and thermal conductivity. Wieland supplies it as oxygen-free (Cu-OFE, Cu-OF), phosphorus-deoxidized (Cu-DHP, Cu-DLP, Cu-PHC), and electrolytic tough pitch (Cu-ETP) grades – different deoxidation and purity routes that trade off weldability, hydrogen embrittlement resistance, and conductivity for specific downstream processes. All grades share the same maximum conductivity ceiling of 58 MS/m and are supplied as rolled strip in coils or as foil for further stamping, forming, plating, and welding.

In addition there are low alloyed copper materials such as K65, K80 and K81 allowing for an increased strenght with minimum compromise on electrical conductivity.

Not sure which grade or plating fits your process? Our Alloy Wizard helps you identify the right copper grade based on your application requirements, while the Plating Wizard makes it easy to compare different plating options and find the optimal surface solution.
